Houston Furniture Bank Needs You!

  • Office assistance: Answer donation calls, schedule donation pick up, maintain client database and donor database.
  • IT support: Create and maintain email database, generate mass e-mail and help manage the website
  • Writers: Write stories about the families we help
  • Furniture TLC: Fix up worn-out furniture, put a leg on, add a handle, clean, polish or cover a stain.
  • Artists: Develop art projects using old furniture
  • PR support: Assist with contacting the media to present stories on the Furniture Bank
  • Photographers: Document events, people, families, volunteers and work of the Furniture Bank for website, brochures and banners.
  • People person: Go one on one with families in need. Assist clients and caseworkers to select and tag furniture and help organize delivery.
  • Moving and delivery persons: Arrange furniture delivery to families.
  • Community Organizers: Organize a furniture drive at your place of worship, neighborhood or at work.
  • Event planners: Help organize the annual golf tournament and the “Furnish A Future” breakfast.
  • Tour planner: Help organize community individuals and groups to tour to the Furniture Bank
  • Interior decorating: Get involved with the DIVAS - Designing program
  • Volunteer Coordinator: Coordinate all volunteer activities.
